My web design career started in 2003 when I was hired as the web designer for Quent Cordair Fine Art. Since then I have taught myself both design and several different coding languages, and I believe that I continue to improve with every project. My work includes website design, program development and brand building.
In 2005 I met Rich, who like me believed that the internet held great promise for growing businesses, and that a web company that assisted those businesses must distinguish itself from the crowd in terms of service, confidence and return on investment. Together we founded Rich and Clever as a partnership, each of us specializing in the things we love and do best.
I pride myself on websites that are easy to use, clean, direct and elegant in design. I always adhere to the strictest web standards, which means my sites have a short development cycle, load fast and handle change very well. Esthetically I try to concentrate on designs that heighten the content and the message of a particular website, rather than being flashy for flash's sake. This means that my websites are accessible and pleasing, without being overwhelming.
I also develop online programs for clients, almost always hand-crafted for a client's particular needs and budget. Among these are eCommerce systems and Content Management systems that allow clients to handle products, orders and website content from simple administration panels without the constant need for a web designer to make changes. I have also created several specialized programs, including a dynamic wishlist, website search engines, blogs and more. For those of you interested, all of my backend development in done in PHP and MySQL.
